1. Who is responsible for your data
This website, ataullahbehesti.com, is run by Ataullah Behesti, a private person living in Finland, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact me about privacy matters through the contact form.
2. What data is collected and why
Contact form. When you send a message, the form collects your name, email address, subject and message. They are sent to me by email so I can reply. Legal basis: your request and my legitimate interest in answering it (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). Messages are kept in my email for as long as needed to handle your request, normally no longer than two years.
Comments. If you leave a comment, your name, email address, website (optional), comment and IP address are stored to show and moderate the comment. Your email address is never shown publicly. An anonymised string created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to show a profile picture if you have one. Comments are kept until they are deleted.
Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, the site uses Google Analytics (through the Site Kit and MonsterInsights plugins) to count visits and see which pages are useful. This uses cookies and information about your device and browser. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Without consent, these cookies are not set.
Advertising (only with your consent). The site may show ads through Google AdSense. With your consent, Google may use cookies to show personalised ads and measure them. Without consent, no advertising cookies are set and only limited, non-personalised ads may be shown. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Server logs and security. Like every website, the hosting server automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Fonts. To show Bengali text correctly, the site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
3. Cookies
A cookie is a small file saved in your browser. You choose which optional cookies to allow in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

4. Who receives your data
- Hostinger: web hosting, servers located in the EU.
- Google: email delivery for contact form messages (Gmail), Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Google Fonts and Google Search Console. Google may process data outside the EU, including in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Automattic (Gravatar): only if you leave a comment.
- Your data is never sold.
Links to other websites, such as job sites and news sites, are covered by those sites’ own privacy policies.
5. Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:
- see what personal data I have about you;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- object to or restrict processing;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by changing your cookie settings;
- receive your data in a portable format where applicable.
To use these rights, send a message through the contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Finnish supervisory authority, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto).
6. Children
This website is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
7. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when the website changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
